Summer 2013, while being on my first trip coming back to Viet Nam after 7 years, I was invited by HOMECOMING! Committee (Dallas-based art collective) to create a piece for their experimental project at Dallas [SITES]: Available Space|Dallas Museum of Art. One of the guideline is this piece must blur the lines between historical fact and fictitious narrative. Collaborating with Craig Baron, we created HoaLo Prison, HaNoi Hilton, which serves to provoke the audience’s questioning of truth and history as presented.
