Thuy & Rice  one-channel HD video no sound projected on jasmine rice, TRT 00:04:32,
and two archival pigment prints mounted on dibond (24"x36" each)

This video work and Processing of Affection both portray my responses to my Vietnamese heritage’s expectations and beliefs via a semi-fictional character named Thuy. The marriage between Thuy and the cultural impositions does not continue with a polite dialogue but is interrupted by a progression into Thuy’s cruel and disruptive actions. This video piece is expanded into an interactive video installation and concept-based drawing performance/installation.
